I would look at how New York was handling their market since they required coverage for pre-existing conditions yet did not have a mandate.
Sorry, meant to say “how to fund a pre-existing condition benefit without any kind of mandate.”
I was looking forward to hearing from the three of you, as you are three of my favorites. But it was really too many voices. And Dan wasn’t really answering the questions. I would have liked to hear him answer Glen’s question about how he would fund a pre-existing mandate without any kind of mandate. If you get the chance, please ask him that question again.

Good show today. We appreciate you working hard and bringing mmeaningful stories to our attention. Often times, you do it in a very fun and entertaining manner. On the show today, you spoke very complimentary terms re The Anchorage Daily News/Dispatch merger. I do disagree. I suspect that you were just being nice. I think they’re ruining the Daily News. They took one bad, poorly run product and infected another. Their coverage of everything is weak. Too bad.
Fagan’s show is fun. Like your participation. Rydel and Fagan are the only two shows I listen to.

Listened to the show. Can’t stand the conservative crap that comes out of the mouths of Fagan, Bagels and Sullivan. Blah, blah, blah. All this show did was prepare me for my morning constitutional.
Always love listening to Dan and Glenn and aam an avid reader of your blog. Therefore, I made it a point to listen this morning. To be perfectly clear, I am a long time Alaska committed to removiing Mark Begich from the Senate. To me, he’s a huge disappointment and represents Harry Reid and his gaggle of rich liberal environmentalists and anti-gun activists more than Alaskans. I am going to vote for Dan Sullivan because I bvelieve, as apparently Begich does, that he is the only candidate that can beat Begich. The Democrats have already spent $3 million trying to defeat him. The Democrats want to run against Treadwell or Miller, both of whom are okay people (although I do have problems with Treadwell’s ethics and some of his personal associations). Yesterday, Begich in a very strategic back-handed manner endorsed Treadwell by referring to him as “too conservative” to create enthusiasm for him iin the GOP primary. Are you kidding me? Are we talking about the same Treadwell that gave financial contributions to Democratic liberal Matt Claman who is one of the giggest gay rights advocates in the state? I wouldn’t call that “too conservatiive”. Begich is just trying really hard to pick his opponent and he just doesn’t want that person to be Dan Sullivan. Here’s the one thing people should remember when they go to vote : A vote for anyone other than Dan Sullivan, is a vote for Mark Begich. Let’s send a message to Begich that its time to start packing.

Amanda, I wonder if Dan Sullivan, while serving as a United States Senator, would support the concept of “Constitutional Nullification” where states can nullify Federal authority by refusing to enforce federal statues, regulations, rules and orders.
Specifically, does he support the language included in the bill summary for House Bill 69 which passed the legislature in 2013; “An Act prohibiting state and municipal agencies from using assets to implement or aid in the implementation of the requirements of certain federal statutes, regulations, rules, and orders that are applied to infringe on a person’s right to bear arms……”
