After Joe Miller said in a debate on Thursday night that Sarah Palin is the figure in Alaska that most inspires him, Palin returned the favor by endorsing Miller for U.S. Senate.
“We said we’d send the good guys in Washington their reinforcements, so, Alaska, here we go! Vote for Joe Miller on Tuesday and shake off the liberal stronghold so we can get on the right track,” Palin said in a statement sent not to the local media, but to Fox News in New York on a Friday late afternoon, which is traditionally time to release news when you don’t want it to be news.
In 2010, Palin declined to work hard for Miller’s campaign after he won the 2010 primary. Part of the problem then was that when asked in an interview, Miller declined to say that Palin was qualified to be President of United States.
This is from a September 2010 email Todd Palin sent to a campaign lawyer and the treasure of Palin’s PAC.
Hold off on any letter for Joe, Sarah put her ass on the line for Joe and yet he can’t answer a simple question ‘is Sarah Palin Qualified to be President. I DON’T KNOW IF SHE IS.’ Joe, please explain how this endorsement stuff works, is it to be completely one sided
Sarah spent all morning wocrking on a Face book post for Joe, she won’t use it, not now.
Put yourself in her shoe’s Joe for one day.
Sarah and Todd both remained relatively silent through the rest of the election.
In addition to Miller talking up Palin’s inspirational qualities, Miller was also on the Dan Fagan/Glen Biegel show recently, praising Palin’s signature piece of legislation—ACES—though Miller has said in recent forums that he would vote against repealing the legislation that was passed in 2013 that replaced ACES.

@Bingo: I don’t know what “bunny” ad you’re referring to. Share if you have info.
The Palin “endorsement’ is far too little and way too late. Given the view most Alaskan’s have about Sara I have to wonder why Miller even bothered. After Miller’s disastrous effort the last time around, everybody I’ve talked with about this current election cycle considers Joe to be, at best, damaged goods.
I am curious – this newest ‘bunny’ ad (seemingly supporting Joe without saying so) has popped up out of nowhere and lacks the required legal notice of the sponsor. Who’s behind this latest bit of “strange Alaska” politicking?
Palin?
Figures, she can’t even keep her chest size consistent.
One day she is packin watermelons across her chest, the next day it is mosquito bites.
Ok folks, I said it cause I know most of you have seen it too.
Totally weird.
Things are getting VERY interesting now…I think we can start saying Bye, Bye, Big Ich!
I wonder when Sarah is going to endorse Bill Walker for Governor?
I thought this was a bizarre choice in the debate, esp compared to Wally and Ted. But now I see the wisdom. Joe proves smarter than I thought he was yet again.
Sara Palin wasn’t fit to be governor of Alaska. And, there is no way imaginable that she was ever fit to be president.
Really not sure what to make of Palin’s endorsement. Seems too-little-too late. Your comment on the timing is indeed significant. From what I’ve heard, Palin’s negative among Alaskan voters is 55 – 60%. Maybe Mr. Miller would have done better without it. I, for one, have little use for what she thinks. I do think that she didn’t think much about Alaska’s future when she up and quit her governoship. I suspect that Palin’s endorsement will have little effecr on the race.
