The money that was stripped would expand access to low-income men and women in order to prevent pregnancies. According to APRN, the federal government would pay 90 percent of the money but the state would have to chip in $1.4 million in the next two years.

While I so much wish that the good senator was more open and accepting of the need for abortions, particularly from the perspective of poverty and being alone with an unwanted pregnancy. Still, I have tremendous respect for him. I wish that he would be accepting more of different views.
